- A second website where you make updates to your main site. The best systems make updates easy and do not require knowing HTML or programming languages
At Educational Networks, we have our own unique, web-based Content Management System, called SchoolSitePro, that’s designed specifically for schools and school districts. With our system, technology directors don’t have to update their school’s websites on their own. Instead, they can assign different levels of access to each teacher and staff member, allowing those users to update certain sections on their own. Because no technical skills, programming, or HTML coding is necessary, the process is easy and can be performed often within minutes—if not seconds.
Administrative access to sites is password-protected, and each user has his or her own unique username and password. Levels of access vary. For example, a teacher will have access to his own teacher pages, class pages, subsections, etc., whereas an office staff person might have access to update general sections on the website, such as “news and announcements,” “school calendar” and “online bulletin board.”
The applications in SchoolSitePro are web-based forms that Internet users are already familiar with—it’s just like the forms you fill out when shopping online or contacting an organization- even for email. All the user needs is a computer and an internet browser—no software installation is necessary. We believe in simplicity and ease—if you can send an e-mail, you can use our system. Updates are published in real-time.
